What people said about us, using our car parking facility, our bed and breakfast accommodation, or simply enjoying our drinking establishment.

I have parked at the silver zone at Bristol Airport and had my car broken into ( it happens ! ) and I had to go through my insurance . This is clearly stated on the Airports booking form. I now use the Waggon and Horses as it offers a far quicker service and I have never had any problems but if I did I know that my insurance would have to cover it , again this is clearly stated on the booking form that you have to sign when you drop off your car.The form also does say about going to an overflow carpark at busy times. The new owner is a great guy that has only ever been really nice and helpful to me.

I've used the Waggon for the last 18 months and been totally satisfied with the service. After a little chat with Bob (who drives me to the airport), the current owner has had the business for about 10 months and has looked atfter me like gold. When my flight was cancelled he put me up for the night at a rate that most B/B's couldn't contest. My car was looked after perfectly. The car park was all lit up with several cameras covering the area and I wouldn't think twice about using the Waggon again. The previous comment by Mr. Harries is totally unfair to the Waggon. If he was to park in an NCP car park or even in Tesco's, who would be responsible for his loss? He would. Why he is slating the Waggon is beyond belief.

Doors missing, locks damaged. Scruffy. Pub - Grubby. Stinks of cigarette smoke in 2010. Parking - filthy. They put our car under some fir trees for 12 days, plastered in sap, pine needles and bird mess. Absolutely filthy and took an hour just to get the surface mess off.

Response from the owner
We always appreciate feedback from our customers. Although we try to please everyone, it is difficult to manage everybody’s expectations. The open fire has recently been lit regularly, and I admit it does smell a bit, but many people like it. The pub is as clean as it can be for a country pub with an open fire, but the bedrooms are spotless. Trees can sometimes leave a little debris, especially when it is windy, but you leave a car anywhere for almost 2 weeks and it will be dirty. Many people take advantage of our car valet service which has been a big plus for many of our customers. Please let us know when you book if you want this service. Thanks, Paul.

We had an early flight so decided to stay overnight at The Waggon and Horses. We arrived in time for an evening meal which was cooked really well and had a couple of drinks before going up to our family room. The room was spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom. In the morning we just went to the parking office where Bob ( a bit grumpy but it was very early) then took us straight to the airport. A perfect service and we wouldnt hesitate in using them again.
